Mason Lake Overnight (was Longs Pass/Lake Ingalls Overnight)

Based on the freshest trip reports on wta.org, Lake Ingalls is still ice and the basin where we would camp is still covered in snow, but the wildflowers on the way to Mason Lake are in full bloom.

We'll take the Ira Springs Memorial Trail to Mason Lake and set up camp, then explore further without the heavy loads. I went to Mason Lake last year and there were so many intersecting trails to explore, we had trouble choosing. Some go to more lakes, some go to ridges where you can soak in views.

Mason Lake was fun to swim in too! Hot weather is supposed to be back this weekend, so you might want to plan on a swim if that's your thing!
