This is an easy 1-1/2 mile hike (one way) to Keekwulee Falls on Denny Creek. Elevation gain is only about 1000' and it's not a challenging trail. The key to this hike is the lunch at the top of the falls. Bring what you want but I'll likely have something such as a bottle of wine, cheese, crackers, maybe some fruit, etc, but definitely not a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with water.

This hike is weather dependant, and a rain forecast will cancel this.

Only 4 of us showed up for this hike, which was fine, except for those on the wait list who didn't get to go! Nice hike -- perfect for me today. The bridge crossing the Denny Creek at the Slippery Rocks was out, but we managed to cross and enjoy the way to the Keekwulee Falls -- a beautiful place for lunch!

Gunther, the hike is currently full, but if two spots open up, you're welcome to join us.

As of Friday morning, here's the NOAA forcast for 2 miles NNW of Snoqualmie Pass: Chance of rain Fri and Sat nights, but for during the day it says this... Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Northwest wind between 6 and 13 mph. With a mostly cloudy forecast, and 53 degrees, this is great hiking temperatures, just bring another layer for the lunch, along with rain protection in case the clouds spill over. If you aren't coming, please change your RSVP. Thanks

I won't have my "light brown" truck available, so look for a white sedan (seats 4) or silver SUV (seats 5). 0ne or two more vehicles will be needed., and please share gas costs for them.

I believe a forest service parking pass is required for this area, and one is required for each vehicle. I have one but can only fit 5 people in mine. The other car(s) will each need one. We can stop at the ranger station in North Bend to get one if need be.

    •  The first bridge had some rail damages, but had no affecgt on the crossing, but the second bridge was out. We crossed on some small felled trees in the low water. After a rain, it may not be so easy. The trail was in excellent shape and well marked. The two mile trip was relaxing and the company was superb. The falls provided an terrific setting place for a picnic lunch which we took advantage of. This one I'll do again.
