4th Season Hilleberg Tent Event

  • Mar 24, 2012 · 8:30 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

In support of our sponsor, Hilleberg, and in appreciation for the outstanding tents which they create, we present the Hilleberg Tent Event. There is only one rule for this trip; you must sleep in a Hilleberg Tent. If you have one you are welcome to join us. If you do not own one and would still like to come, you may add yourself to the waitlist or post a comment. Some members have extra room in their tents and may be willing to share, but it will be up to the individual. For now we are planning to camp out overnight at a very nice flat spot just below Guye Peak, between Guye Peak and Snoqualmie Mt. and above Snoqualmie Pass and Alpental ski area.  This will be approximately a 2 hour+ snowshoe adventure following a reasonably safe route up to our destination.  Those adventurous ones who have the right equipment may continue on to the top of Guye Peak after setting up camp.  Or just hang out and enjoy good company while being warm and dry in the snow on top of a mountain.  Hope to see you there!

If I could do the trip over again I wouldn't change a thing. Perfect weather, great company, awesome experience.

I am interested if anybody would have room in their tent. Would not know for sure until next week. Need to do a gear check and grab a few things first. Anxious to do some winter camping and snowshoeing but don't want to rush into anything. Any concerns for newbies to snow camping/shoeing?

While they don't go on sale, moontrail.com stocks them - and offers "bonus points" which you can redeem for other gear within the same order. Also http://www.hilleberg.com/home/special_offers.php often has floor models offered at discounts.

Ric, The tent in the top picture is a Nammatj GT. I prefer to use it in summer when I have a tent mate I can share the load with and it is not too big at all.

What model is that in the picture? It certainly looks great for winter....is it too big for summer?
