This won't happen today but is a possibility for the future depending on the response to this poll. We have found that the majority of new members to seattlebackpackers.org are new to the North West. Myself and a lot of organizers have noted that novices are a lot of fun. Unfortunately the overwhelming impression is that the majority of new people are hesitant to embark on an outing for fear of ridicule, cold, wet and the like. LETS GET OUT!!!!!! We are considering offering paid for trips that will be lead by qualified organizers. This will give new backpackers an opportunity to ask all the questions they like and gain first hand experience without feeling silly.....not that you should anyway!
