New York Times foreign correspondent Dexter Filkins gives his personal account of the rise of the Taliban, 9/11, and the war in Iraq. In The Forever War, he tells stories of face-to-face meetings with insurgents, dinners in Iraqi homes, interviews from the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq. Filkins provides a visceral understanding of the “War on Terror” and the people who fight it, report on it, and live among it. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, with Elliott Bay Book Company.
Tickets are $5 and are available at www.brownpapertickets.com, [masked] and at the door beginning at 6:30. Town Hall members receive priority seating.
