Dexter Filkins: 'The Forever War'

New York Times foreign correspondent Dexter Filkins gives his personal account of the rise of the Taliban, 9/11, and the war in Iraq. In The Forever War, he tells stories of face-to-face meetings with insurgents, dinners in Iraqi homes, interviews from the front lines in Afghanistan and Iraq. Filkins provides a visceral understanding of the “War on Terror” and the people who fight it, report on it, and live among it.
