Anti War Rally/9/11 Truth

There is a big anti war rally next sunday in seattle. Anyone who can make should go down and show the antiwar movement some support. I will most likely be there but this is more of an announcement of a general protest rather than a scheduled meetup.

March 20th, 2010 will mark the 7 year anniversary of the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan by the Bush administration. With all the domestic issues we have been dealing with lately, it seems like many Americans have become complacent and accepting of our involvement in the middle-east but it's time to wake up and remember! It is now clear that the new administration has no intention of trying to remedy these grievous atrocities or hold anyone accountable for the war crimes that are still being committed every day in our names.

Hundreds of billions of dollars, thousands of American lives and over a million civilian casualties are just the tip of the iceberg. The wide-spread use of depleted uranium and white phosphorus (aka. nuclear and chemical weapons) by U.S. forces are devastating the populations of these countries and will continue to poison the land causing birth defects, mutations and death for years to come. Not to mention the effects that exposure to these substances has had on the U.S. troops that are coming home with abnormally higher rates of cancer, radiation sickness and the ambiguous "Gulf-War Syndrome". We are committing murder, genocide and numerous other human rights abuses every day in violation of the Geneva conventions and international law and it is driving this country into the ground.
51% of you federal tax dollars currently go to fund these occupations while our country is drowning in debt!

It's time to wake up, stand up and fight back against this madness! Join the march to end U.S. Imperialism and be part of a global day of protest! Bring your friends and spread the word! Let's make this the biggest protest in Seattle since the WTO!

End US War and Occupation! Fund Human Needs!

A Peace of the Action:a Peace Camp erected by US Citizens on lawn of the Washington Monument, was denied by the Nat'l Park Service its legal rights to erect temporary tents. Tents are able to be erected as long as there is no sleeping(Park Serv.Reg.7.96) Park Service forced the campers to take down the tents Mon3/15 after they were set-up. "On the 7th Anniversary of an illegal war that has killed over a million people.." says Director, Cindy Sheehan, "We will claim our rights Saturday night!"

The rally was fabulous with speakers who had incredible knowledge to share with all participants. Integrity was so thick you could see it glowing in the air. The sun came out, the Galloping Grannies sang; we had moments of prayer and silence for those souls who transitioned from our life to the other side because of the Iraq and Afghan wars. It was a terrific place to network with other groups and fellow Anti-war/9-11 Truthers. While marching people who lined the sidewalks joined us all---including a near 90 year old woman with a walker! Now, where is the media coverage. Next time, we need to find a video camera person/photographer, so we can post our own coverage of the event. To date, I have nt seen one news story on the event, but then, I threw my TV out the window yelling, "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore." So where are the YouTube vids? Anyone have a newspaper article they can share with me?
