Have you heard of, or are familiar with “Trail Etiquette”?

Yes. Was actually incorrectly schooled on uphill vs. downhill right-of-way when I was a kid - my parents always told me that downhill had RoW since they had more momentum. It never occurred to me that it's way harder for someone going uphill to restart than vice versa.

With “1” being no experience and “10” being a well-seasoned hiker, how would you rate your skill level on a scale from 1 to 10? (Being a marathon runner or weight lifter doesn’t mean that you are necessarily ready for moderate or strenuous hikes)

5 or 6 - I know my way around the trail, but I'm pretty out of shape.

If you do not know your skill level, would you be willing to come on one of our "New Member" hikes up Rattlesnake Ledge and discuss your abilities with an organizer then? If you are well aware of your skill level, please answer “Not Applicable”

What is the favorite, most difficult hike you’ve done in WA State? If you have no experience, please answer “Not Applicable”

I struggled mightily climbing the rockfall from Barclay Lake up to the meadows before Eagle Lake. Climbing up Old Snowy Mountain in the Goat Rocks was rough as well, especially since it's above 7k'. Already have dates set for the Wonderland Trail this summer.

Is there a trail you have been wanting to do and would love to conquer with other members of The Seattle Hiking Group? If you do not have one, please answer “None”

None. I'm game for whatever, although I might be the last one up.

I've been a hiker and backpacker since I was a little kid (mostly backpacking with my parents), then skipped about 13 years and started day hiking and backpacking again last year.
