Have you heard of, or are familiar with “Trail Etiquette”?
Yes. We practice it whenever we hike or snowshoe.
With “1” being no experience and “10” being a well-seasoned hiker, how would you rate your skill level on a scale from 1 to 10? (Being a marathon runner or weight lifter doesn’t mean that you are necessarily ready for moderate or strenuous hikes)
I would put us in the 5 range, because we walk alot and do other things to stay in shape, so we're ready for easy to moderate hikes.
If you do not know your skill level, would you be willing to come on one of our "New Member" hikes up Rattlesnake Ledge and discuss your abilities with an organizer then? If you are well aware of your skill level, please answer “Not Applicable”
That would be a good start for us.
What is the favorite, most difficult hike you’ve done in WA State? If you have no experience, please answer “Not Applicable”
Snow Lake two times. We also did Little Mt Si too.
Is there a trail you have been wanting to do and would love to conquer with other members of The Seattle Hiking Group? If you do not have one, please answer “None”
I want to do Mt Si during the last two weeks of July with my Niece and Nephew who are 18.
I'm Jim and my wife is Paris and we are both over 50. We're joining to get motivated to do more hikes. We're novice hikers, but we enjoy staying in shape. We also like to kayak and go bicycling.
What Jim D. is saying about this Meetup Group
John is a knowledgeable organizer and the other hikers were a nice bunch. We're looking forward to the next hike.
