6:15 - 6:45 Responsive Web Design by Matt Menzer

You may have heard about this this 'Responsive Web Design' thing that's taking the web by storm. Fluid grids and media queries are helping websites adapt their layouts to better suit screen widths, but there's also a host of performance optimization techniques that, when used in conjunction with content- and mobile-first design, allow responsive web design to help us create truly universal yet mobile-optimized web experiences. In this talk, Matt will blitz through an overview of basic responsive web development, before diving a little deeper into some of the trickier techniques (there's javascript, promise) that will help you develop outstanding, mobile-performant universal web products.

7:00 - 7:30 Webviews - Webkit for Mobile Platforms by Tony Bentley

Embrace the Apple iOS UIWebview and Google Android WebView! Tony will cover different approaches to developing and optimizing HTML5 applications within a mobile iOS and Android application. You'll learn how to provide a seamless user experience from the native view to the web view, limitations on communication between the applications, asset storage, optimizing images, automatically updating the application, programming the application with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, build tools for production releases and debugging the application.

I was in the wait list, so I could not attend this meeting. Are there any slides that the presenter can share? Thanks!

Started really early which made it hard to get to on time (I work on the Eastside), other than that it was very good.

I really liked the responsive presentation. It was very high level, and I knew a lot of the content, but some of the detail on responsive/adaptive images was new and interesting. The webviews presentation was way over my head, so I can't really comment on how good it was. I can at least say I know what a webview is now.
This was my first meetup, so after reminders to show up I was there about 15min before the 5:30 start time. I was the first one there. Organizers and presenters and sponsors weren't there until closer to 6pm. I guess I would have liked to know the expected run time of the meetup, because I definitely hadn't planned on being there until 8:30pm.

Great presentation and discussion. The Responsive Web Design presentation in particular gave the audience some techniques to try

I had to leave a little early (sorry Tony!) and I missed part of Tony's presentation but both presentations were great!
