Weekday Ride around Hood Canal

Since it was so much fun riding in Kitsap/Oly Pen on 7/28, let’s go back to the area again, this time for those weekday riders. Will ride the ever popular Dabob Rd but, but this time we’ll go along Hood Canal, check out Destination Highways’ twisted edge – Hama Hama Rd, then through Tahuya Forest area to make a full day of it.

The Plan:
~ Taking this
route: http://goo.gl/maps/um91E
~ Arrive gassed up and ready to go at the ferry.
~ Meet at the Edmonds ferry by 12:15pm for the 12:40pm ferry (need to arrive at least 20 mins early or you may miss the ferry).  Buy Ferry Tickets online. NOTE – don’t get in the ferry line up, bypass the cars and go to the motorcycle parking. HIGHLY suggest you get your ticket online (especially if you might be late) but also can get your ticket at the passenger terminal.
~ Will have a stop for a late lunch and maybe a 2nd stop.
~ Take the Edmonds ferry back, but if you want to cut out early to take the Southworth or other, feel free (but you’ll miss some great riding….)

This will be a spirited ride in the remote areas, but more casual riders are welcome to join - we’ll ride in “sport touring” with the spirited riders up front and casual riders at the back with the group re-grouping at turns. Everyone please bring a map or review it so you are aware of the route and turns.

So glad everyone had a great time and love sharing those roads. Had a blast myself and looking forward to the next road trip. Right now it's the Whale Watching Ride to Bellingham, wait, there's Taco Tuesday before that. Maybe even another weekday ride??

Not sure if you heard when we were at dinner that this guy's trying to break the Guiness Book of World Records for the largest poker run or something like that. Found the link to the bar that's one of the stops, but there isn't a link to the ride, but here you go: http://hideaway-jrs.com/ It's Aug 19th. Please post as an event if you plan to go so others can join you. :)

I am not sure if this posts twice? I thought I already shared. But just in case it was so nice to meet each of you. The longest ride I have ever done. "Thank you for your patience. But, I did pull over after the Ducati had cut off, I was going to txt Claudette to let her know I was alittle behind the group. Thank you to the couple who led me to the Kingston ferry, Had a GREAT DAY" Kim

Heard that Dewatto has significant gravel from road grading last week - recommended waiting until the week after 8/4 to give the road time to clear, hopefully. So, Tuesday next week looks like it'll be the date. Sorry Teri. Also can't do Wednesday since I have a show that night and can't risk being late. Just need to see how my meetings go Monday and hope to update tomorrow. However anyone can do an encore of this ride or any other.
