I seem to be a permanent beginner with tarot, and would like to be motivated towards regular study. I lean towards Rider-Waite themed cards, and my favorite decks are the Diamond, African and Hello Tarots.

What Renee is saying about this Meetup Group

While the instructor has some specific plans for the school's late summer and fall curriculums, at present the learning is somewhat student guided, which I find interesting. So far there's a fair amount of emphasis on building intuition, figuring out what the cards mean to the reader, and tuning in to help the querent rather than just doing the spread and be done with the reading. If one takes my review with a grain of salt, knowing it was based on one class, I recommend this school to people who are starting out or want a refresher. It could be wise to contact Seven Star about what your experience and specific interests are ahead of time, to make sure that you're going to get the most out of your attendance.
