Thrill the World 2008 - World Wide Event

This year is the 25th Anniversary of Michael Jackson's Thriller album, and to celebrate, people all over the world are getting together at the same time to do the THRILLER DANCE!

We are working with people from Thrill the World at: thrilltheworld.com and some amazing people from Seattle have put together a Thriller Dance Troupe to learn the Thriller Dance!

The details of our local event are as follows:

Saturday, October 25th
10:15 am - Meet at the Pergola in Pioneer Square, 100 Yesler Way
10:30 am - Amble over to Occidential Park, Occidental Ave S and S Main Street
11:00 am - Perform the Thriller Dance for the World Record attempt!
11:15 am - Perform a second Thriller Dance performance for fun!
11:30 am - Leave for Lunch in West Seattle and performance at Easy Street
12:30 pm - Lunch in West Seattle

Local radio station Movin' 92.5 will be providing the music!

After the World Record attempt we have a few more optional events planned for the rest of the day:

West Seattle - Encore Performance at Easy Street
1:45 pm - Meet at Hotwire Coffee in West Seattle, 4410 California Ave SW
2:00 pm - Amble to Easy Street to perform encore performance

West Seattle - On Stage Performance at Admiral Theatre
8:45 pm - Meet at Admiral Theatre, 2343 California Avenue SW
9:00 pm - Perform Thriller Dance on the Admiral Theatre stage!

Redmond - Halloween Party at Suz's
8:00 pm until 2:00 am - If we get enough Thrillers at the party we will bust out the Thriller dance! Go to: http://www.meetup.com... for more information about the party.

Sunday, October 26th, 3:00 pm - West Seattle Zombie Walk

Sunday, October 26th, 7:00 pm - Kalia Indian Cuisine in Greenwood
Bellydancer Zombie Imei is the co-hostess for a once-a-month bellydance show at Kalia Indian Cuisine in Greenwood. The next show is Sunday October 26th at 7:00 pm and we are having a "Spooky Bellydance Show" and would like to have the Thrillers dance!     I encourage everyone to take the BUS to get there :-) What fun, with a couple random zombies stumbling onto the busses and sitting next to unsuspecting travelers!! You know there's always someone drooling or muttering to themselves, and if you don't see anyone... it's YOU.

    Please take a moment to watch the videos on ThrilltheWorld.com to familarize yourself with the Thriller dance. I've ordered the training DVD which we'll use for rehearsals, but in the meantime, check out the website and start learning the moves! Fun!

    •  It was so fun to see everyone dressed as zombies. Thank you for organizing the event this year! I enjoyed knowing ahead of time where the 2nd performance would be in West Seattle. That was also great, and the public had wonderful feedback, entertainment for everyone.
