Rehearsals Resume Aug 24th, 1:00

The Funk of Forty Thousand Years!

Rehearsals for our worldwide simultaneous Thriller dance, Thrill The World, will resume Sunday, August 24th, 2014, 1:00-3:00 at the location of our sponsor, Artspace Hiawatha Lofts, 843 Hiawatha Place South in Seattle.  Check our calendar for dates and times for all regular rehearsals, dress rehearsal, practice performance at Lake Union Park, and worldwide performance at Lake Union Park, our new performance location.

Each week the dance will be taught from the beginning due to new members constantly joining.  It's free to learn the dance, however, we will accept donations for our charity at all rehearsals.

Once again contributions will go to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alzwa.org.  Their vision:  A world without alzheimer's disease.  Their mission:  To eliminate alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Please note there will not be a rehearsal Labor Day weekend or the weekend of October 5th.

Looking forward to another Thriller season!

Update:

Bring water!  Wear anything to stay cool!  There will be a local community flea market around the area we will be in on the 24th, so the street in front of our rehearsal area will be blocked off.  There is an abundance of free street parking, but you may want to arrive earlier to find a spot down the street or around the corner since you will not be able to park directly in front of where we will be rehearsing as we are normally able to do.

We will have several different sizes of our newly designed Seattle Thrillers t-shirts available for $15.00.    Looking forward to meeting our newbies as well as dancing again with our experienced zombies!

The best part of doing a group event like this is the fun time you have meeting folks who are just as spirited and game for fun as you are! Everyone did a great job and the laughter never stopped!

Is there a parking lot, paid parking, or just street parking? Thanks!

I've always wanted to participate in a flash mob, especially this one! I look forward to the practice!

Occasionally we do perform Thriller in flash mob style when we're invited to other events around the Seattle area, however, Thrill The World on Oct 25th will be publicized & the media will be well informed. This worldwide simultaneous Thriller dance is not a flash mob performance.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
