What. In. The. World. Good Chinese food in my neighborhood?? You betcha!
After being disappointed over and over w/ Chinese food served around this area, I'm ecstatic to have found Szechuan Garden. Our very own Rita W told me about this place, but I was very skeptical at first since I tend to be partial to Chinese food. But after trying this place out I am sold, especially their noodle dishes and the egg plant w/ spicy garlic sauce.
Now if you're in the Eastside and are familiar w/ Szechuan Bean Flower in Issaquah, you will definitely like this place. Their menu is quite extensive, but their food on average is very good. And if you ask for a 5 star spiciness, they will deliver it.
"Sichuan is colloquially known as the "heavenly country" due to its abundance of food and natural resources. One ancient Chinese account declared that the "people of Sichuan uphold good flavour, and they are fond of hot and spicy taste."
One other note - portions are very generous so feel free to share!
Price - Cheap to Moderate. Their dinner items can start from $6.99 and up, but if you're an adventurous eater like I am, expect to spend at least $35. Also, we will have separate checks =)
Parking - Private Lot
RSVP Etiquette - Honor your RSVP! Please be considerate of those who are on the wait list and update your status if you can't commit to it at least 48 hours in advance. Remember - two no shows after this event, and I will remove you from the group. No exceptions.
The restaurant is hidden just next to Wells Fargo (E of 44th Ave) so you may have minor difficulty finding the business. Look for the big sign below:
