Indian Restaurant Month

This was suggested by Sarah-our very own True foodie. She recommended this place as the place to go for "authetic biryani". Its served only on Sundays and don't make anymore once it's all gone. I will try and get them to make it especially for us if we have enough RSVPs.

Stay tuned...

So I just spoke with the owner and he was quiet happy to make his Biryani for us. He will hold table for no less than 5 minutes. As it is a weekend and he gets busy, please make sure we all get there on time. I will be there earlier. "Uncle"(he is the owner) told me he will try to get seperate checks but since it will be busy that day he may not be able to. So please check out the menu and prices and decide before hand plus 18% tip.

Please let me know how many of you will be interested in ordering Biryani since I will have to let him know a firm count by Friday night. He is making it especially for us.

Its cash only event. Please bring atleast $40.

No -Show rule applies. Please be considerate and let other people who are waiting get a chance.

The fish biryani was way better than I expected. The fish was tender and succulent, not over cooked and dry--this is someone who knows their way around seafood cookery. It's easy to cook tender lamb and chicken, but not fish. So it's GENIUS. Even reheated in the microwave, it was still good. Tikka sauce was good, too. I had Gosht, also yummy. Love their forward use of spices. And, I asked for 5 star and got 5 star. Which is to say, plenty spicy hot, but still with great flavor. Some places that give you 5 star lose the flavor along the way.

hahahahaha yourself, t :-) biryani and tikka sauce together is like saying a quesadilla is better with nachos on top. They're both good, but putting them together is far from genius. I just wanted the rice (the biryani had very little fish left in it) and some of the tikka masala to sample the flavor of the sauce. I think you have to be born liking raw hot chile. Anyway, I always have.
