Nepalese/Himalayan Dinner @ Annapurna Cafe [Capitol Hill]

Join me for a Nepalese/Himalayan dinner at Annapurna Cafe. STF had a very lovely dinner here back in 2010 and after my recent visit there again, I would like to set something up w/ my favorite dining group.

Food served here has a lot of Indian infused flavors so you will taste some familiar spices as well as some new ones. If you love Indian food, you will like Annapurna Cafe.  One of my favorites is their Vegetarian Thali. Yum.

To our awesome Vegetarians out there - they have a good selection of Veggie plates to choose from!

This restaurant also has a very quaint and inviting decor you'll notice from the moment you walk in.

Some menu items:

Spinach MoMo: (Vegan) Six Tibetan style dumpling served with peanut, sesame and tomato chutneys   $7.50

Vegetarian Thali: Served with your choice of brown or basmati rice, garden salad, papadum, naan bread, pickle, mixed vegetable pakoras, chutney, dal, palak paneer, mixed vegetable curry and dessert   $19.95

Himalayan Curry: (Vegan) (Dine like a Sherpa and take a hike…) Sherpa’s favorite curry sauce cooked with tomatoes, onions, sweet peas, potatoes, Tibetan herbs and a hint of Szechwan pepper

Gyatak Noodle Soup: Delicious Tibetan soup cooked with egg noodle, pieces of lamb, garlic, onions, tomatoes, broccoli and topped with fried eggs   $11.25

Price is moderate. I typically spend about $25 + tax & tip so please review the menu and plan accordingly. They will provide separate checks.

Parking: Will be difficult to find. Plan on arriving a few mins early to find spaces. There is a pay lot just N of the cafe (cash only). Hopefully, Sundays will be less crowded!

RSVP etiquette: You know the rules....the two no-show and last min cancellation policy applies. Please do not RSVP for this if you don't intend on committing to it. If you must cancel, do so 48 hours in advance so those on waitlist can have ample time to be notified.

Due to limited seating, I will turn off the +1 guest feature for this event. This is to allow our STF members an opportunity to join us first.
