馬年 马年 Year of the Horse at Jade Garden!

Come join Rhonda and friends for a DIM SUM lunch at the Jade Garden as we welcome in the Chinese New Year!! We will share a meal around the table with hot tea and Dim Sum. Bring $15 cash for food, tax, and tip. It is all about the Dim Sum! If you prefer something else, well, this may not be the event for you. The Chinatown-International District welcomes you to the 2014 Lunar New Year Celebration! The Lunar New Year Celebration is the most important festivity in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Come join Rhonda and friends for lunch at the Jade Garden as we welcome in the Chinese New Year!!

A year ago, my friend Haven gave me a $2.00 bill as a New Year good fortune. Since that time, my fortune has been many in 2013. So, to bring good fortune for the 2014 New Year to all, bring your Red Envelope with a BRAND NEW $2.00 bill to exchange with the person sitting next to you during the event. No words are needed inside the card and simply tuck away your envelope, not to be opened at the event. I carry mine around in my wallet and sometimes I take it out and look at it in remembrance. http://jadegardenseattle.com/

After, bring a $1.00 to stop by and pick up a egg tart or sponge cake for dessert down the street.  Not required.

Thank you! Everyone showed up and life is good. Too much sake did me in from the night before. I am such a Nigori lover that one small sip here and there adds up quickly. It's so goooood! I'm okay, playing it safe:).

I still have my $2.00 bill from the year of the snake! Carry over to this year, with another new one for the Year of the Horse.

Rhonda I will be wandering around that area with my cousin and her fiance after your lunch adventure. I would love to join this group but it seems that it is full. I am not surprised! What a special thing to do with the red envelopes! I hope this year of the Horse brings you even more adventures and friendships Rhonda!

Hi Shawn, thank you for your creative answers to my questions......laugh....no tequila and no hot wax....laugh. But, I have envelopes! I call them red envelopes but they are different colors with beautiful art work on them. And, for the others, if you are unable to find new $2.00 bills, new dollars bills will work:).
