El Gaucho (Seattle) for Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week is almost over, but let's squeeze in a couple more great, last-minute meals!  First up, elegant, old school Argentinian steak house El Gaucho. 

"At El Gaucho Seattle, you and your guests will be treated to the ultimate dining experience, including the attentive tableside service that is the Mackay hallmark. Step back in time to an era of uncompromising service and total indulgence, where the smallest of details are considered the most basic ingredients of your visit. We set the stage for an extraordinary event that will exceed your every expectation."

Given the short notice, I was only able to get a table for 4, and only for this early time slot, but this should be a special dinner, nonetheless. Please only RSVP if you're sure you can make it.  

Here's the posted Restaurant Week menu (subject to change):


• Insane Truffle Soup - black truffles, wild mushrooms, cream (V)

• Kale salad, roasted beets, pecans, roasted garlic aioli, reggiano

• Wicked shrimp, spicy white wine butter sauce, grilled crostini (GF)


• Braised Brisket -Creamy polenta, bordelaise sauce, wild mushrooms

• Tenderloin medallions, bearnaise sauce, crimini mushrooms (GF)

• Grilled prawns, butternut squash puree, coconut milk molasses (GF)

• Curried chickpeas, honey, sambal, madras curry, roasted yellow beets, toasted almonds (GF, V, Veg)


• Chocolate ganache, salted caramel ice cream, peanut butter powder (GF)

• Baileys bread pudding, creme anglaise

• Seasonal sorbet (GF, V, Veg)

Looks like there are also some vegetable sides for a few bucks extra, and you can get a matching wine flight for $17.
