  • November 16, 2012 · 2:00 PM

Our Seattle True Foodie member, Les sent this event announcement....

Pre - event set up (unload the food and unpack the boxes)
Friday Nov 16 from 2-5 (10-12 people needed); Pizza included !!

Come join our 7th annual SeattleThanksgiving Basket Brigade.
We gather a group of wonderful volunteers, collect donations, and
then assemble the baskets and deliver them into the community.
Last year we fed approximately 1500 needy people at Thanksgiving.

This is a wonderful service we offer to the greater Seattle area community. We provide food all over Seattle - and from Everett to the East Side even to battered woman's shelters & more.
By giving to others in greater need makes outs lives all the more fulfilled !

When : Seattle Basket Brigade -
Saturday Nov 17, 2012 : 11AM - 5 PM (or until we are done)
We have wonderful food donated from great Seattle restaurants for our volunteers.

Volunteer party - we have great food donated from great Seattle restaurants to feed the volunteers, we smoke an organic turkey and have a lot of fun.

Hot tub and sauna available !

To get involved as a volunteer or to donate :
please RSVP on our Basket Brigade website. (RSVP on the meetup as well - BUT IT'S CRITICAL to RSVP on our Basket Brigade site so we can plan ahead.

ONLY those who RSVP on our site (not the meetup) will receive food vouchers to eat Sat. at the Basket Brigade, as well as have priority to deliver baskets.

We have great food donated for our volunteers and we have so many baskets so we need to plan ahead.

Hi Les, I like to know if I've done what I'm supposed to do as far as registration goes. If I have, I will show up at the Lake City location at 2pm on Friday?

    November 13, 2012

    • Les

Susan if your name is Shutsen Chen - you are already RSVP. See you then

Karen your meetup account is set up so no one can email you (I tried). Also if you read the decription of the event above or the comments, you would see we've asked people to RSVP to find the location.
I already posted a comment with your name on it. We are planning this event so we don't get a huge number of people just dropping by and we are not prepared for them, vol food etc)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
