Korean BBQ Lunch in a Hole in a Wall !!

Worth the drive from Seattle! This place is a gem of a Korean barbeque restaurant. The food is fresh, the owners/waitstaff super friendly, and the price is right.

You are greeted almost immediately by the owner or his son who are some of the most friendly and attentive folks ever encountered at a Korean restaurant.

Since it was our first time, the owners son gave us an intro and cooked the first round of meats for us. This was actually pretty helpful as he recommended which part of the grill the marinated vs. unmarinated stuff should go due to variations in heat, the best way to eat some of the grilled meats, wrapped in sliced pickled daikon or with lettuce. After round one, we were cut loose to grill our own selections from the raw meat buffet.

There was a huge variety of side dishes (kimchi, sprouts, etc.). There was an amazing variety of meat choices (several cuts of beef, chicken, pork, pork belly, squid, tripe). All the food here were marinated perfectly w/OUT the use of MSG. **ALL YOU CAN EAT !!!

Chams comes highly recommended. The place itself is pretty tiny. Maybe 8 booths with fume hoods.

With fresh meats, wonderful service, wonderful marinades, and real Koreans, it's a decidedly delicious trial by taste buds and an experience well worth building upon as you gain exposure to and learn more about this fine, unique cuisine.

Come join us for a very fun family time.

If they are still around, Tacoma Szechuan is also very good, specializing in the hot, spicy side of Chinese food: http://www.yelp.com/b...

They charge $16.99/person (does not include beverage) on the weekends & holidays. I would recommend that you bring at least $25 -30 to allow room for soda (alcohol more), tax and tip.

Since I'm assuming that most of you aren't down by T-Town very often, I'll mention that the Tacoma Art Museum is showing an Andy Warhol exhibit on flowers for the artistic minded. It could probably be squeezed in either before or after lunch.

This is easy to find and so worth it...Car pooling is encouraged for this as we venture toward the edge for great EATS. Rides offered... Rides needed.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
