Cafe Soleil (Euro-Japanese) [Mukilteo]

Let us meet for a Euro-Japanese dinner at this wonderfully cozy little restaurant in Mukilteo. I frequent this establishment because it reminds me of dining back home in Tokyo where my mom is from. The food served here is very comfy: Hayashi Rice, Grilled Hamachi Cheek, Hamburg Steak, Takoyaki, Kurobuta Pork Sausage…etc., etc…

The Chef special is a must, which varies depending on availability of fish and veggies that day. I had one of the freshest saba sashimi here not too long ago and I have been missing it since. Below are the pictures I've taken on my last visit.

They have a limited selection of sake, but it’s very good – with plenty of balance. They serve both dry and sweet variety.

Cafe Soleil Web Site

Food: Euro-Japanese

Price: Moderate. $20-$30/person, depending on what you order

BRING CASH to make it easier for the restaurant.

I will keep track of no shows. Do not RSVP for this if you cannot commit to it. This is a very small restaurant so any no show(s) means loss of revenue for the business. And do not be late. Cafe Soleil gets pretty busy, especially on Sat evenings, so we will need to order, eat, and leave on a timely manner!

The owner is able to squeeze in two more folks. If you can't make it, PLEASE update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance so that those on the wait list can join us. And Please do not be late. This is a small restaurant so your commitment is very important to the business!

And I checked (and actually begged) to see if he can make ramen for us, but he said "please come in during lunch on Wed orSat. I will be more than happy to make it for you then!" POOP.

Excellent choice! Very cozy place indeed. This is Grouchy Chef's old location before he "retired" then came out and moved to the current spot.
