Small, owner-operated restaurants with a seasonal-focus or ethnic-focus (or both). I especially love provincial/regional French, Italian north and south, Thai, Indian, east European, Mediterranean/Greek, New World cuisine, and um, well, heck, any food from anywhere that is thoughtfully prepared.
