New Meetup: NCAR to Gregory Canyon hike

Announcing a new Meetup for SECOND WIND HIKING!

What: NCAR to Gregory Canyon hike

When: Sunday, December 5,[masked]:30 AM

Where: National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)
1850 Table Mesa Dr
Boulder, CO 80305

Join us for a crisp December hike in Boulder on Sunday morning!
Meet at the NCAR parking lot @ 9:15; hike begins @ 9:30.

THE TRAIL
NCAR - Mesa - Bluebell/Baird - Gregory Canyon/Saddle Rock and back
~10 mi RT/1,800' elevation gain
Should take ~ 5 hrs at a moderate pace and with a few breaks.

Dogs are allowed on the trail and must be leashed or have a Boulder Sight & Voice Control Green Tag.

DIRECTIONS
Take US-36 N to south Boulder and exit CO-157N/Foothills Pkwy.
Keep RIGHT at the fork and follow the signs for S Boulder Rd/Table Mesa Dr.
Turn LEFT/West on S Boulder Road/Table Mesa Drive, and it will eventually loop around into the NCAR parking lot (3.7 mi from US-36 exit).

CARPOOLING
If you want to carpool, we will leave the E Flatiron Circle PnR in Broomfield at 8:45a.
Please note "Carpool" in your reply if you will be choosing this option.

DIRECTIONS
When coming from Denver, take the Flatiron Crossing East exit off US-36, go straight through the light at the bottom of the exit ramp, and the PnR is immediately on the left.

WHAT TO BRING
A couple liters of water (or more), a snack and/or lunch, and a waterproof shell (slight chance of precipitation) in addition to the usual hiking attire.
