With last month's Oculus turnout, we thought another demo night would be fun.
The fine folks of PO-MO join us again to show off their cool new toy, LUMO, an interactive projector for kids. Come out to Secret Handshake and play with this incredible toy, learn about running a Kickstarter, and meet the inventors!
PO-MO has been designing interactive environments for children for three years. You may have seen their work at the Children's Museum, The Santa Clause Parade, and Aboriginal Day Live.
For the past year they have been designing LUMO, The World's First Interactive Projector for Kids. It is a programmable floor projector with simple creation tools. Kids can play active games on their floors, and make their own interactive floor effects and games.
And it's quite fun for adults at the pub on a Thursday night too...
LUMO has been featured in The Globe and Mail, The Winnipeg Sun, and CTV, and Global's morning show with Eva Kovacs. PO-MO is passionate about keeping this project local and creating great and creative new jobs here.
ALSO, if you have something you'd like to demo, just bring it with you! In the past we've had 3D, video game, music demos, as well general promo booths/installations for people to browse while they socialize/mingle. We always welcome you to bring your stuff to show off to the group! Only ground rule: no speeches. ;) If you have questions or need help setting up, email leanne /at/ secrethandshake.ca
