Snowshoeing and Skiing in the Berkshires

I'll be staying at a condo near Lenox in the Berkshire Mts. Those of you that can play hooky for a day are welcome to come up and join me for either DOWNHILL or CROSS COUNTRY SKIING or SNOWSHOEING. Should there be no snow, there is always HIKING or in bad weather, the many world class cultural venues nearby. We can use the condo as a staging point. I'll have a pot of my beef stew on the stove and there are some nice dining spots close by in town. I'll have venue info for all activities. Closest downhill skiing is Jiminy Peak and Butternut. Berkshire East is a bit further.

This is a work in progress, so if you're interested, please sign up AND leave a comment as to what your interests are. If enough sign up, we could probably have several groups based on activity. If you're interested, but would want to come up on different days, please contact me privately and maybe we can discuss.

The resort is The Ponds at Foxhollow in Lenox, MA, closer than you think at barely 2 hours from Old Saybrook. My cell is 860.575.2608.

An RSVP denotes that you have read and agree to the liability waiver of the group.

I could probably come up for the day, but would like to go up to Berkshire East. Where do you ski?

Hi Lenore - BE is further north than both Jiminy Peak and Butternut. Both of those have a lot of green terrain and I think you would enjoy as well. But we can talk about BE.

Hi, I would love to do this, how long are you going to be staying at the condo? Is only Friday available or the whole weekend? I'm interested in cross-country, might be able to get some friends to come up Sat or Sunday....will contact you by email.

Hi Laurie - Responded to your email. It's 7 below here this morning, but didn't get the snow you did. Have fun playing outdoors!
