About Our Keynote Speaker
Dr. David Orenstein is a full professor and department chairperson at CUNY Medgar Evers College. He is a national and international speaker on issues related to the freethought movement. A primatologist by early training, Dr. Orenstein’s blog can be found at www.paleolibrarian.info. His writings can also be found in American Atheist Magazine and other freethought publications. His book, "Godless Grace: How Non-Believers Make the Word Safer, Richer and Kinder" is being published by the Humanist Press and will be in bookstores and online in the fall of 2014. An activist in several of New York City's non-belief organizations, he is a happy and optimistic freethinker who concludes that life is best lived when we are good without god.
