Book Discussion: The Night Sessions

Two cops, man and robot must search out religious fundamentalism before it strikes again!

----

After 9/11/2001 wars swept the world. The West invades Iraq and Afghanistan. Eventually the Israeli/Palestinian conflict comes to an end in a nuclear furnace. Returning Western veterans initiate the Second Enlightenment, marginalizing religion throughout the west. In the British Isles a policy of "official non-cognizance" of religious belief takes hold. The returning robot veterans of war are de-militarized and take up jobs throughout the civilian economy.

In this world, a man is murdered for religious cause and a pair of human and robot coppers must find out just why. Doing so will lead them into the darkest... and newest corners of religion.

----

Date to be set after sufficient interest and polling of interested parties, likewise with location. Available on Amazon in both e- and dead-tree. Ken MacLeod is the author.

I'm somewhere toward the beginning of the book and enjoying it. Looks like a good pick! We gotta get more people reading this one!

P.S. It's a bit easier to digest than another book we've talked about recently.
