Dystopian Fiction reminiscent of Fahrenheit 451 and The Handmaid’s Tale
In a near-future America where separation of Church and State is no longer observed, Helena, a single mother and Catholic, seeks a better life for her precocious twelve-year-old son. A teenage friend convinces her to leave everything behind and take him and her son across America to New secular City, where they hope to find good schools, good jobs and tolerance. After facing many obstacles they will finally reach their destination, but it may not be what any of them expected.
