Hospital Mergers & Religious Restrictions on Health Care: ACLU at Town Hall

The ACLU is hosting a panel of experts at Town Hall to discuss the effects of mergers between religious and secular hospitals. In the Northwest, 44% of hospitals are Catholic. This has a number of effects on reproductive rights, end-of-life care, and even regular care for members of the LGBT community.

Co-sponsors of this event include ACLU of Washington, Compassion & Choices of Washington, Legal Voice, NARAL Pro Choice Washington, and Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest.

Tickets are free, but you are encouraged to register online.

For more information about the effects of these mergers, the Stranger has published a revealing article.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
