Bhagavad Gita discussion group

The Bhagavad Gita is knowledge of five basic truths and the relationship of each truth with another.

The Gita explains with great clarity the nature of consciousness, the "self" and the universe. This is the essence of wisdom and spirituality and Indian responses to questions posed by philosophers for centuries.

The translation of the Bhagavad Gita AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada has remained loyal to the essence of the words of Krishna and thus he has unlocked all the secrets of this ancient knowledge of the Gita and placed them before us as a great opportunity for the realization self and spiritual joy.

The Gita is a conversation between Krishna and his dear friend Arjuna. At the last moment before entering a battle between brothers and friends, the great warrior Arjuna begins to ask questions: Why should he fight? What is the meaning of life? Where are we going after death? In response, Krishna leads his friend out of perplexity and into spiritual enlightenment, and each of us are invited to walk in his footsteps.

Alga, we are all beginners in this class. As Pankaj says, this class could go on for years. I welcome that idea! See you next week! :-)

Fantastic Group!! Everyone is sharing their realizations, and we are all learning from each other. We had a few new people this week, and I was really impressed with some of the summaries that were given. And the food is great. :)
