I just wanted to thank all of you who turned out for SemTech, Semantic Code Camp and Visualizing RDF. All the events were great and have provided a lot of inspiration for future events.
In the coming year, we'll put on events devoted to new topics like Music, Video, Realtime and Collaboration as well as the old standards like Visualization, Tools, Open Source, Code Camps, Demos and the Basics. Additionally, I hope to put on a few "social" functions, in particular I think we need a full on after party at SemTech next year.
But this group is about what YOU want to learn. So, if you have ideas, notions, inclinations let us know. We'll do our best to put it together.
The Silicon Valley Semantic Technology Group (previously known as Palo Alto Semantic Web (PAWS) Group) is a forum in which Bay Area people interested in the Semantic Web can meet each other and learn more about this fascinating area of research and its applications. Our discussion will include all Semantic Web technologies with a focus on current projects and potential project and startup opportunities. Discussions may be technical, although those interested in business applications/functionality are new to the Semantic Web are encouraged to attend. The suggested level of technical expertise to participate in discussions and presentations will be indicated in each meetup description.
