What are your thoughts about the Semantic Web? Is it the next Big Thing?

It depends on how well the technologies can handle themselves in an operational environment.

Which new technologies would you like to learn? Have you worked with any "semantic" technologies such as XML, RDF, OWL, GRDDL, or SPARQL?

Have modeling experience with XML, RDF, RDFS, OWL, but would really like to learn how semantic technology architectures are implemented and the best way to utilize inferencing in an operational environment (e.g. strategies for inferencing).

Which applications or web sites will make the Semantic Web a reality in the public eye?

Introduction

I am interested in exploring the possibility of applying semantic technologies to increase enterprise interoperability as well as utilizing semantic technologies in entrepreneurial endeavorers.
