Hi Marco,

I'd like to, but there is nothing I can do about the location.

I live well outside of DC (90 minutes without traffic), and have no contacts in the city. The only appropriate venues I've ever been to in DC have been government offices, none of which are open on weekends. I also have no budget to work with, meaning I can't look at hiring a venue.

The only way I can see to move on something like this would be in partnership with someone up in DC who is able to help with a venue. I don't suppose we have anyone like that on this list?

Regards,
Paul Gearon

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since the Washington group has had a meeting, so I'm pleased to see this VoCamp coming up. Unfortunately, given that it's on weekdays and I've already scheduled my vacation for the year, I'll be missing out again.

Is there any interest in having a VoCamp on a weekend some time? It could be focused on similar vocabularies, like geolocation, or even something something more "fun", such as movie collections. The latter may make the session more accessible to people who don't have a professional need for geolocation, but still provides the practice and cross-pollination of ideas that a VoCamp typically enables.

Regards,
Paul Gearon
