Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you know that Leif Percifield, our resident expert on all things poo, posted the results of some of our work at the Water Hackathon a few weeks ago.  We built a sensor box that can sit outside of the CSO's looking for drastic changes in temperature and electrical conductivity, bypassing the red tape with the DEP (for background, check dontflush.me). There was also a canoe trip in the Gowanus that was had to set the sensor up.  Full details:

This project is going to be something we are going to work on expanding over the next few months. We've been talking about this forever now and it has bigger implications that just CSO monitoring.  Less talking, more DOING!!! Time to DO!

We'll make firm plans at the Sensemakers Summit, within a stone's throw of the Gowanus.  Be there.
