Brainy Web Marketing: Neuromarketing Tips to Boost Traffic and Conversion

If you like to geek out to marketing ideas and concepts as much as we do, and you haven't discovered Roger Dooley's work yet, you are in for a BIG treat at the next meetup!

As marketers, we measure and test and tweak - week after week after week, but have you ever wondered WHY a certain image or headline or price works better than another? Especially when it's not the logical or obvious choice? Or WHY a certain fonts gets a better response? We are good at testing A versus B, but you take it to a new level when you know how and why to pick version A and how and why to pick version B.

95% of our decisions are made subconsciously, and you can use this knowledge to super-charge your web marketing.  Dooley will present a webmaster's dozen of techniques, some from his new book, Brainfluence: 100 Ways to Persuade and Convince Consumers with Neuromarketing, that will enable you to make your sites more engaging and improve conversion.  As a marketer, you need to stop throwing facts and figures at your customers and sell directly to their brains!

Roger never disappoints - you won't want to miss this. You never knew marketing could be SO fascinating!

Hi Zach, I didn't take any notes, just tried to listen and absorb. Seems like having a wiki for this group might be valuable? A place where everyone can share their notes and thoughts after a meetup. Just a idea. I mean, this format is fine for leaving brief comments, but having a place to read detailed notes in a logical format would be great too. Or... you could just buy Roger's book, "Brainfluence" or visit his website and call it good.

Hey, I had an emergency and was unable to attend last night. I really wanted to go! Is there any way I can get a summary or some useful pointers of what was discussed?

Great presentation - of course, like any intriguing topic, the talk seemed a bit short. I would have loved to hear about more studies and applications of the findings in real marketing contexts, but I suppose that's what the book's for. ;)

It was a no-brainer - my head is now full of interesting and useful information about how consumers are attracted or repelled by advertising and content on a level that they (or we as marketers) are even aware.
