This is a group for people who would go to online marketing meetups, but hate dealing with recruiters, assholes trying to sell their products, total newbies, pointless conversation, or an overall lack of regard for the value of your time.
We're not bitter, we just think we can do better.
We care very deeply about the signal-to-noise ratio of our meetup. We want people who can add to the conversation, not subtract from it. Mainly, this means we want to fill our meetup with people who are at least starting to kick ass in the SERPs. (It also means you should definitely know what a SERP is.)
This group is primarily focused on SEO and SEO techniques that wear hats of many colors. We may also discuss other traffic strategies (PPC, social media, etc.), monetization strategies, or even general online business matters, but that is not the focus of this group.
What will we focus on?
- On-page optimization
- Content generation and acquisition
- Getting indexed
- Linkbuilding
- Tracking your results
- Building networks
- Analyzing competition
- SEO Tools
- Finding niches
- Determining niche difficulty
- Reputation building
- Playing defense
- Domain buying
- Social Media (but not in the sense of "I'm gonna send out a tweet today!")
- ... and more.
We ask everyone who attends the meetup to throw in $2 toward the cost of the meetup. Also, pay for your own food and please tip generously.
