Please join the 10 Magazine Book Club for our second April meeting on Sunday 28th. We will be joined by very special guest, author and novelist Jeffrey Miller (http://jeffreymillerwrites.com/) to discuss his many celebrated works including 'War Remains', 'Ice Cream Headache' and 'Waking Up in the Land of the Morning Calm.' Jeffrey Miller has spent the last two decades flitting around Asia as a university lecturer and writer, including a six-year stint as a feature writer for The Korea Times, South Korea's oldest English-language newspaper. Originally from LaSalle, Illinois, he relocated to South Korea in 1990 where he nurtured a love for spicy Korean food, Buddhist temples, and East Asian History. He divides his time between South Korea and Laos, where his wife Aon, and three sons Bia, Jeremy Aaron, and Joseph reside.
War Remains, a Korean War Novel is his first novel and based on articles he wrote about Korean War Commemorative events from[masked] for The Korea Times. The award-winning book won two Military Writers Society of America 2011 Book Awards: Gold for Literary Fiction and Silver in the Korean War category.
Currently a history and English lecturer at the SolBridge International School of Business in Daejeon, South Korea he recently finished work on a Korean War documentary about the ongoing search for war remains in South Korea and one of the Korean War battles described in his novel 'War Remains.'
