Hello fellow Linchpins! In anticipation of the Meetups I've compiled all the Seth Godin content I've created over the past year and put it on one page: http://www.polarunlimited.c.... It includes a video summary of Linchpin and The Dip, a one hour webinar with Seth about Linchpin, and two interviews about the books. I put it together to promote all of the Meetups, and especially for people you want to come but are unsure if it's for them. Have an amazing event/conversation!

Try churches. Especially Park Church. Hit up @timschraeder or Soul City Church @jarrettstevens.

OR, we could break up into neighborhoods, instead of trying to do the whole city? I'm willing to organize Lincoln Park.

If I can get a meeting space that would hold about 200 for free in Oak Park about 2 blocks from the El, would that work for the Chicago meeting?

I would be interested in Oak Park / Forest Park. I'm planning on attending the Naperville or Chicago meetup, but if there were an Oak Park or Forest Park meetup, that would be better yet.

I could do Evanston or Downtown, but preferably before 8pm for either...if it's post-6pm, I'd probably opt for the Evanston group, as it's closer to home for me. I'd still need it to be close to transit.

Downtown Chicago seems like an ideal meeting place based on the factors of transportation, accessibility, and diversity of people and venues. Many from the suburbs would have to pass through chicago to get to other suburbs such as Napervillie via metra etc. Whether you have car or not, why not save gas and hop on a train to Chi city? Save money and time on parking. Just some info to consider. Looking forward to meeting with fellow Linchpins. Be well

Just an update - Staci and I are working on the downtown Chicago location. We hope to have final details up by the end of next week.

Emmy--The Barnes & Noble sounds like a good choice to me. Hopefully some of the other western suburbs people will chime in, and we can settle on that.

Has anyone formally taken the lead on the western suburbs meetup? It sounds like Oak Brook and Naperville are popular suggestions. Can we hone in a specific spot? I'm amenable to any location. If you have an ideal place, step forward.

Western Burbs for me...Naperville, Oak Brook, Hinsdale

Western burbs or city would work for me

In downtown Chicago, depending on the size of the crowd expected, here are 3 perfect , unique choices: Catalyst Ranch, Thinkubator, or Workspring.
These are all "Linchpin locations".. Have a great gathering!

I won't mind meeting in the NW or W suburbs.

Oak Brook or Naperville...great....happy with a pub...better for mixing than a bookstore don't you think? Somebody on the Triiibes site already drew up a cool namebadge...easy to identify each other.

Hawthorn Mall sounds like a good place. I'm in.

NW burbs could be at B&N in Deer Park or Borders in Schaumburg.
