Hi Guys, I've persuade a fellow member of Seth Godin's Triiibes network, Steve Cunningham, to give access to some Linchpin related material he has presented in his "Read it for Me" service. You can access the podcasts, webinars and interviews through the following link www.polarunlimited.com/linchpi
n-meetup There is around 2 hours of material accessible so get yourself a good drink and comfy seat and enjoy! Bill @simplifywithus
Posted by Bill Gemmell June 11, 2010 at 2:48 PM@Ray, thanks for the suggestion. Looks like the restaurant is closed on Monday.
Tried Neto Cafe and Red Rock Coffee on Castro. They both close at 9pm on Monday.
Posted by Justine June 7, 2010 at 9:28 PMI'm starting a Google Docs to help plan this event http://docs.google.com/View...
Please help us with finding a location.
Hi Justine, Hacker Dojo looks like an exciting place. It would be cool to do the meeting there.
If you need alternative idea, here may be one. This place is in Sunnyvale, by Fry's electronics. It should be quiet during the evening. The food type is south India food though.

Posted by Ray Liu June 3, 2010 at 4:50 PMmxh, good idea. So far haven't heard from Lisa Brewster who was going to contact Hacker Dojo for us. For now it looks we'll just do a flash-mob in downtown Mtn View and meet at a cafe somewhere. You can tweet me @justine_lam to find out the location
Posted by Justine June 3, 2010 at 3:42 PMThanks to Justine, Jim, et al for organizing and searching for a venue. May I suggest, as an emergency backup, flashmobbing in downtown Mt. View (say @ Villa/Castro) and then migrating to a nearby eating/drinking establishment? Not ideal, but with ~20 attendees, not unworkable.
Posted by mxh June 3, 2010 at 3:38 PMHello Justine and all LINCHPINs in Moountain View! It looks gorgeous there and I can warm it up even more. Do you want everyone know who you are and what you stand for, even before the event? Do you want to connect with other LINCHPINs all over the world? Can you reach out to lonely LINCHPINs?(There are lots of I'm-the-only-LINCHIPIN-in-my-t
own.) Here's how. http://bit.ly/9bJtMO
This is the easiest way of connecting with other LINCHPINs online. Thank you for reading and have a nice evening :)
Posted by Yukie Koda June 1, 2010 at 7:16 PMGo Seth God(in)! Have a wonderful guys!
Posted by Ray Liu June 1, 2010 at 10:54 AMJustine, I have one that can handle 40-60 but it ends at 6:00. I was hoping for something that starts at 5:30 or so. I have an email in to another place about the same size that has an ajoining bar. I'll check on it again Tuesday. You can reach me at [masked]
Posted by Jim Farrell May 28, 2010 at 4:10 PMJim, can you coordinate with me on this? We have a discussion going on Facebook about potential venues. We were thinking HackerDojo or maybe another coworking space.
It's really hard to say how many people we need to prepare for. So far it looks like 20 at the most.
Posted by Justine May 27, 2010 at 11:15 AMThanks Jim Farrell for making me aware of this; Jim and I share big fandom of "the Seth ways;" has anyone read Seth's book(s); they ROCK, dating back a decade and more! Highly recommended.
Posted by Emmett T. Pickett May 26, 2010 at 9:26 PMThe space i have negociated is in Santa Clara.
Posted by Jim Farrell May 26, 2010 at 9:36 AMI have a venue negotiated that could handle about 100 until 6:00pm. I haven't yet got a venue for after 6:00 which is what I'm looking for. I have a dozen or so that would attend after 6:00.
