Hi Justine, Hacker Dojo looks like an exciting place. It would be cool to do the meeting there.

If you need alternative idea, here may be one. This place is in Sunnyvale, by Fry's electronics. It should be quiet during the evening. The food type is south India food though.

mxh, good idea. So far haven't heard from Lisa Brewster who was going to contact Hacker Dojo for us. For now it looks we'll just do a flash-mob in downtown Mtn View and meet at a cafe somewhere. You can tweet me @justine_lam to find out the location

Thanks to Justine, Jim, et al for organizing and searching for a venue. May I suggest, as an emergency backup, flashmobbing in downtown Mt. View (say @ Villa/Castro) and then migrating to a nearby eating/drinking establishment? Not ideal, but with ~20 attendees, not unworkable.

Jim, can you coordinate with me on this? We have a discussion going on Facebook about potential venues. We were thinking HackerDojo or maybe another coworking space.

It's really hard to say how many people we need to prepare for. So far it looks like 20 at the most.

Thanks Jim Farrell for making me aware of this; Jim and I share big fandom of "the Seth ways;" has anyone read Seth's book(s); they ROCK, dating back a decade and more! Highly recommended.

The space i have negociated is in Santa Clara.

I have a venue negotiated that could handle about 100 until 6:00pm. I haven't yet got a venue for after 6:00 which is what I'm looking for. I have a dozen or so that would attend after 6:00.
