Kawaii Kon is Honolulu's premier Japanese animation convention! Attendance is about 5000+ every year.
Prices are here. It's $53 for a 3-day pass or $37 for a 2-day.
Although it is primarily about anime, there's a large room dedicated to gaming that's co-run by Other Realms and Da Planet Hawai'i. One half focuses on CCGs such as Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic and the other focuses on miniature games (Warhammer 40k) and board and card games. I'll be running most of the latter, most of which will be Steve Jackson Games and a little Looney Labs on the side.
You can find the official schedule here.
I'll be running a Munchkin Tournament and possibly a Frag Tournament as well.
At night (and possibly during the day), I'll also be running games of Werewolf and Death Note Mafia. We were able to get 25+ people playing a bunch of games last year, so I expect the same this year.
Also, since we had a bunch of tables last year, there was pretty open gaming. Neal, Jay and I managed to get in a lot of random games between my demos.
Come down if you can and play games with us! The room will be open from 10am to 10pm, the closest you'll get to all-day gaming!
NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO RSVP "NO." In fact, please DON'T. Thanks!
