BoardGames at Other Realms (Ward Warehouse)

Other Realms, a friendly local game shop (, sponsors a weekly gaming evening from 5 to 9ish PM on Mondays at the Ward Warehouse Conference rooms. Gaming ranges from pen-and-paper roleplaying to miniature wargaming to board gaming! The tables are "first come, first serve," but we've managed to claim stake on some tables each week.

Request each person bring a game or two; some of us, if we make it, will probably bring more. Not mandatory to bring games!

So far, we've enjoyed some great company and shared some great games. In order for Other Realms to continue the event to ensure the local gaming community continues to thrive, it is highly encouraged to spend a few $$ now and then to thank them for their kindness.

If you can't make it at the start time, no worries! Just show up when you can.

Out of curiosity, are the attendees shown in this meetup just the ones meeting up for board games?

Sorry, it was early in the morning when I got the email. There are other groups that meet there, including yelpers, 3 or 4 role-playing groups (some from the Oahu RPG players), people that just show up, and miniature gamers, who's primary source of gathering and communication is the Hawaii Gamers forum. This group deals in board and card games, and there aren't many minis players here. If you've seen pictures on meetup, they're of board games. Other Realms has pictures of miniature gamers. Sorry if I offended.

Thanks for the information, Van. No worries, no offense taken. I'm just quite new to the gaming scene and, although enthused about board games, was having a hard time finding a regular gaming group. Thusly, I decided to check out this group in hopes of finding more like-minded individuals.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
