We appreciate your interest in hosting game board events. It takes a lot of work and as a host we will support you as we can.
We have some guidelines for hosting events and becoming an organizer.
1. We have to know you. We strongly desire that you attend an event at a minimum, a few is better. This does two things, it allows you to meet people that will show up at your event and perhaps alter its setup for the better of all. Second, we get to know you and your desires in hosting a meetup. This is a great advertising and salesmanship opportunity. We want both the host and attendees to have a good time.
2. This is not a profit club. We host games to play games, not spend money and provide an income. On some occasions, there are promotions for new games and for charity fund raising. These need to be clearly stated in the meetup announcement so people know what they are getting into.
3. The location needs to be safe for members.
In general the Organizer (Ray) will make the final decision. There are some co-organizers that Ray will consult to be sure the answer is impartial and in best interest of the group.
