Craft, Coffee, Cake & Chat

The next Meetup is in the Cafe Nero on Piccadilly, just opposite Waterstones. I've met here quite a few times with the group and we are always made welcome, so I hope to see plenty of you for a nice evening chatting about your favourite crafts, being inspired by each other's completed projects (so don't forget to bring anything you have been making recently to show us!) and even working on any small portable projects you're able to do during the evening or asking questions you would like to see if anyone else can help with.

It is never possible to guarantee exactly where we can sit but I hope the group will be easy to spot and I'll let those who sign up have contact details a day or so before the meetup. Although the meetup is scheduled to start at six to suit any members who finish work early, it's fine to turn up whenever you wish. I work until 6 so I probably won't be there from the start but other members generally arrive earlier. If you get there early, perhaps put something crafty on the table so other members can recognise you or you could even print out a table top sign to make it easy to spot you!

If you are new and worried you'll not spot the group or feeling a bit uncertain about coming, just send me an email and I'll answer any questions or make sure someone looks out for you.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Lovely evening. It was great to do a bit of a crafts supply swap. Thanks for the fabric Marijke! Very happy that people wanted my yarn - happy knitting!

Thanks again for the amazing yarn! I woke up and started looking for patterns and think I'm going to make a shawl/poncho with the red yarn. Still looking for a pattern for the green yarn.

I am so glad that you like it! A poncho or shoulder wrap sounds lovely: this yarn is wonderfully warm and cosy.
I have three colours in a different alpaca at home, maybe I could do a poncho myself? It's a great idea!

Really sorry I wasn't able to make last night (13th Nov) but as you can see, would love to see what others are making and doing, and perhaps I might get to see some of your finished items for Christmas.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
