Thanks to Sewing With Style member Dawn, who suggested this meetup long ago! And thanks to all of you who voted for this one. I hope it will turn into a regularly occurring meetup. We've finally found a date, time, and location that work together for this first time around, and we are trying our first-ever weekday meetup. If you work a traditional full-time job, coming to this might mean taking a pre-approved, extra-long lunch. Bring the clothes you've needed to mend and alter. You know, the ones that have been piling up in the corner, unwearable only because you'd rather make something cool and fun than take in that waistband or patch a hole. This is a social, open-sew style meetup. There is no instructor, nothing will be led, and there are no guaranteed "experts" on hand for whatever you are working on. But we will help each other out as best we can. The meeting room is huge and will have lots of tables and chairs, but you will need to bring your own materials as your projects require. I will try to bring a portable ironing board and iron, but plan to bring everything else you will need: machine, thread, scissors and thread nippers, pins, measuring tape or ruler, etc. etc. Since this will take place over the lunch hour (11 a.m. - 2 p.m.), please bring a snack or non-alcoholic beverage to share so we don't all chew on our shirts with hunger!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
