I love recycling clothes. It is super fun & creative, and you get to do something good for the environment while transforming old clothes into something new & fresh for your wardrobe. This will be the first of many meetups on the topic. I have lots of exciting project ideas to share and for this first one, we are going to start with a simple project that is cute and easy for beginners - a beret made out of an old sweater. I'd also love to chat about environmental issues related to the fashion industry, brainstorm ideas for future recycling projects, pretend we are in Paris with our chic berets, and gossip about who is going to win Project Runway! Bring: A large or XL sweater Sewing Machine All Purpose Thread A snack or drink to share. The first time I made a beret from a sweater it took me about an hour, but I'm scheduling plenty of time so we can be leisurely about it. 1pm-4pm should be gobs of time.

It was excelllant! Tina was organized, patient and knew what she was doing.folks were very freindly, everyone brought snacks to share. The space was comfortable, roomy and airy. There was lots of elbow room. Tina left plenty of time so those of us who worked slower didnt feel rushed. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
