What is your history with sewing?

Started at 14 in Home Ec class. Have been sewing ever since with lots of breaks in between. Over the years I have made kids clothes, family clothing gifts, fashion accessories, clothes for myself and home dec items such as curtains and pillows.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

35 year old Pfaff 1222 and a Janome 8077, a first generation 3 three Juki Serger, 4 thread White serger ( a gift) and a Viking 936 Huskylock.

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

I can usually figure out a fix or do-over. If not I try to salvage what I can and make something else. Most of my mistakes have been fabrics choices and those turkeys get donated.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

It's not my favorite but it has been the most worn thing I have ever made. It's a fleece vest I made about 15 years ago and have replaced the zipper once. It's black and doesn't photograph well but I'll wear it to a meeting.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

There are no impediments to my sitting in front of the sewing machine. Sometimes I just need some inspiration.
