I learned basic sewing in home economics in 8th grade, but never did much with it. I decided to start sewing clothes for myself in the fall of 2013. I'm still a beginner, but I love pushing myself to learn new skills. Everything I've learned since I've started has been from books or blogs or just plain figuring it out myself.
I have a Pfaff Ambition Essential, and a Brother 1034D serger.
If it's minor, I might just leave it, as I don't mind a few imperfections. Otherwise, seam ripper!
Usually the latest thing is my favorite, although I will say I am particularly proud of all the jeans I've made. I blog at PudgeAndNico.com and you can see photos of my work there.
I'm obsessed with pretty much every Deer & Doe pattern, so I'd sew them all! Skill-wise, I'm still scared of fabrics like rayon challis and silk, but I'd love to sew them one day. And I'd love to make a nice tailored coat.
I'm 28 and live with my husband and a kitty named Lentil. I love cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, watching movies, and staying active (lifting weights, tennis, yoga, walking, hiking, swimming).
