What is your history with sewing?

Junior High Home Ec., years of hand sewing; Had a huge stash for "making curtains". Started sewing bags on the machine , then moved on to garments. Self-taught. Not a super-advanced sewist, just obsessed with sewing and fabric.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

A Kenmore workhorse -- maybe 12 years old. All I've ever known. Does the job. I'm interested in expanding my horizons.

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

I go through the 7 stages -- what are they? Denial, anger, bargaining, acceptance, seam ripper. Okay 5 stages.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

A skirt out of reclaimed fabric. Double layers with several tiers each, cut on the bias. Gotta take a picture.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

A pair of comfortable attractive shoes I could wear in the winter with skirts I've made. Just kidding. I'd probably sew a jacket with the midnight blue velvet I have.

Introduction

I LOVE sewing and fabric so much that I started a fabric store. We've been hosting meet-ups for a few months so I've been an informal member. Time to make it official!
