What is your history with sewing?

I've been sewing for about 2 years. I consider myself high-beginner or low-intermediate and am always wanting to take classes and learn more.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

I have a Singer Confidence Quilter (7469Q). It's not fancy, but it does what I need it to!

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

Rip it out and do it over. I might try that a couple of times, and then I give up and say "It's good enough for now, and it's a learning experience." I am kind of a perfectionist, but sewing has helped me get a grip on that.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

Aprons for my nieces and purses for myself.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

I would sew the fairy costume that I'm tentatively planning to make for Halloween. Then I would make a vintage style dress. I also wish I had plenty of time to quilt. It's so relaxing but pretty time-consuming.

I'm interested in all types of sewing: from making clothes and simple mending, to quilting. One day, I hope to finish the quilt I started. I'm scared of the actual quilting part! :) In the meantime, I like all kinds of sewing topics.
