I sewed Barbie clothes when I was young. As a teen I used to "borrow" my mom's sewing machine. As a young adult sewing was sporadic. When I moved to WV for a year in '10 fell in love with it again. Since I had my daughter I've slowed a bit, but now that she's a bit older would like to get motivated to finish things quicker. (A pair of jammies have been on my machine over a month.)
I just got a Brother HC1850 in December. Prior to that I had a Brother XL 2600i.
Depends on the mistake. Most times it's seam ripping. Sometimes it's a "creative choice". Sometimes it looks better with the mistake.
Changes. Currently it's the Tinkerbell dress I made my daughter for Halloween/Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. (If a blog link isn't ok I can remove.) http://roseofalltrades.blogspot.com/2014/01/tinkerbell-and-great-not-really-fairy.html
I bought some fabulous fabric for an Elsa from Frozen dress. I'd like to be a grown up and say I would make a dress for my daughter, but really I would like to make one for myself. Or even something Elsa-ish that I could wear on the street without getting funny looks.
Jess. Moved back to Austin Feb '13 after being gone 3 years. Wife, mom, Domestic Goddess.
